How Impero uses cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit to help the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and country. That can make your next visit easier and the site more reliable for you.

We use them, for example, to remember your safe search preferences, to count how many visitors we receive to a page, to help you sign up for our services and to protect your data.

You can see a list of the types of cookies used by Impero to explain how we protect your privacy in our use of cookies and other information.

Types of cookies used by Impero

We use different types of cookies to run Impero websites. Some or all of the cookies identified below may be stored in your browser.

Preferences

These cookies allow our websites to remember information that changes the way the site behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or the country you are in. For instance, by remembering your country, the website will be able to provide you with the right information about the product range available for your area.
Loss of the information stored in a preference cookie may make the website experience less functional but should not prevent it from working.

Session Cookies

Websites collect information about how users interact with a website. We use these so-called ‘session state cookies’ to help us improve our services, in particular the e-shop experience, but also to handle the user session, BIG-IP and search session. Blocking or deleting these cookies will not render the website unusable from an e-shop prospective.

For example, we use a cookie called ‘Cartitem cookie’ that stores number of cart items.

Analytics

Google Analytics is Impero’s analytics tool that helps website and app owners to understand how their visitors engage with their properties. It may use a set of cookies to collect information and report website usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors to Impero.
